She details why sport must be welcoming, inclusive and provide opportunities for all. Helen suggests listening to the voices of minorities groups will aid the progression of diversity and inclusion in sport. Helen McHugh is Sport Ireland’s Diversity, Inclusion and Safeguarding manager, following her appointment to the role in November 2019. As part of her remit in the area of Diversity and Inclusion, Helen leads on the development of inclusive principles, policies and programmes for all identified minority groups.
