LGBTQI+ Inclusion in Sports

GAA: An Overview of Good Practices

Geraldine McTavish

Diversity and Inclusion Officer – GAA

In this video Geraldine outlines the work that is being done within the GAA to promote a more inclusive and welcoming environment for all. She advises that all members of the GAA community should expect to be able to thrive, while being respected and valued for their unique perspectives and contributions, so that they can achieve their fullest potential. Over the last 10 years, the GAA has been working very hard in the area of inclusion and integration with many developments and programmes implemented. She speaks about the ‘GAA For All Committee’ which was established to oversee the implementation of inclusion and integration policies and also outlines some of the work they are focusing on in line with the Strategic Plan 2017-2021, which is to value and develop our GAA community.
