LGBTQI+ Inclusion in Sports
Sport Welcomes Everyone
Eddie Wong Public Relations Officer of Dublin Devils talks us through his journey with Dublin Devils FC, an LGBT+ inclusive football club established 16 years ago. Eddie praised his club for welcoming everyone including Allies to play social and competitive football. Eddie felt nervous before his first training but easily settled in after meeting the team.
He notes that LGBT+ sports clubs are becoming more prominent due to advertising on social media. Eddie suggests that open days are a good way for people to see what inclusive clubs have to offer and that no one should get turned away.

Eddie encourages anyone who is thinking about playing football to contact the club and come along to Dublin Devil’s social kickabouts, where they welcome all abilities.
