Dr. Tanya Ní Mhuirthile
Dr. Tanya Ní Mhuirthile is an Assistant Professor in the School of Law and Government, DCU. Tanya’s research interrogates the interaction between the body and law and draws on human rights law, medical law, law and gender theory, and feminist jurisprudence. Tanya advises Government, politicians, non-governmental organisations and companies in relation to her research. She is currently the Principal Investigator on an Irish Research Council Project “Mapping the Lived Experience of Intersex/Variations of Sex Characteristics in Ireland” and the DCU lead on the European Commission funded Marie Curie ITN project “Intersex: New Innovative Approaches
