Linda Gloria Keitasha
Project Coordinator, Centre of Excellence for Diversity and Inclusion
Linda Keitasha is the Project Coordinator at the DCU Centre of Excellence for Diversity and Inclusion and the Chair of DCU’s newly established Race Advisory Council. She is a media specialist and a community development practitioner. Her previous experience has been working with marginalised communities to advance better working conditions and social justice and to build collective power to advance for change.
Linda is also the co-founder of #NoToBrainWaste, a campaign set up to highlight the challenges and barriers faced by under-employed and over-qualified migrants and Irish-born ethnic minorities. Previously Linda worked with the Migrant Rights Centre Ireland, as a community development officer where she worked on a campaign to tackle workplace exploitation and advancing a worker rights agenda that ensures better working conditions for undocumented live-in health workers and childminders.
Linda has been living in Ireland for the past 19 years, and over the past 18 years, Linda has worked in retail management, healthcare, youth work and workers’ rights. She has an Honours degree in Journalism and visual media, and she is currently completing a master’s in International Relations. Linda is passionate about finding practical solutions through awareness and education to tackle racism and ensure a safer and more just Ireland where all people and in particular migrant people have equal opportunities to thrive and flourish.
Marketing and Communications Research Assistant, Centre of Excellence for Diversity and Inclusion
Emma Loo provides Marketing, Communications and Research Support for the DCU Centre of Excellence for Diversity and Inclusion. She holds an Honours BA in Communication Studies from Dublin City University and a First Class Honours MSc in Public Relations and Strategic Communications. She was awarded DCU 2020 Mentee of the Year for the MSc PR Programme.
Emma delivers communication strategies and coordinates digital conferencing events. Her research specialisms include engaging with new communication methods, social media and technologies. Her main areas of expertise focuses on marketing and communications with a keen interest in creating LGBTQI+ visibility and representation in sport and all aspects of society. In her spare time, Emma is the Vice Chairperson of Na Gaeil Aeracha GAA Club.
